Cl notified CoC on the journal that she was no longer caring for her mum
Carers Element was removed but deductions for carers allowance continued until I queried it last week.
Casemanger said claim showed ‘suspended’ so would still be deducted
Cl had last CA payment 12/8, she called CA last week (and again to confirm) they closed the account on 5/11 but dated end of claim 12/8.
Case manager is stating the claim shows as ended 5/11 so they’re refusing to amend until cl gets the letter from CA confirming the end of claim as 12/8

I’ve had similar with a MA claim showing active but this was resolved following a call to MA - I’m unsure the of the practical process of how their system would update to show the correct end date?

Is there something specific I can tell the casemanager to do to confirm without further delay?
