Hello

Could anyone advise me of how UC treats ET awards. My client received £50,000 which I imagine counts as capital and therefore excludes him for any further UC going forwards until such time as that is depleted.

However I cannot find any evidence to show this is the case.

Could anyone advise, preferably with a regulation?

it’s just the capital limit rules. the only things NOT taken into account are those things specified; ET awards won’t be specified

So regulations 45 to 50 of the Universal Credit Regs 2013 and Schedule 10 for capital to be disregarded.
