Thanks to Jess at CPAG pointing out that the House of Commons UC guidance has been updated - we’ve updated our resources page so that you can access the guidance easily - https://www.rightsnet.org.uk/universal-credit-full-service-guidance

The UC guidance in the House of Commons library has just been updated again. Nearly all the guidance has been updated (some several times) since it was last published so worth a revisit. There are also a number of new items including -

- learning disabilities and learning difficulties
- medical evidence including fit notes
- mental health
- money guidance and APA
- other work related activites
- reasonable adjustments
- redundancy prior to claiming
- switching off requirements (easements) for LM regime
- switching off work availability and work related activities
- use and occupation agreement

You can find links to all the new guidance in our resources section.

The new guidance on use and occupation provides (I think for the first time) that housing costs should be paid in these cases.

I find it frustrating that the documents do not include date of issue or version number on them.

They do have a version number (it’s usually in the url of the document) and you will see that on our list we have put the number on there too.

The current versions were up-to-date when they deposited in the library on 21 October. They do a new set about every six months and we then update the page. It is an extremely frustrating way of doing it and we tweeted at Neil Couling to suggest that the guidance should be on gov.uk - you can see his replies here

Thanks Daphne. I had noted that but if they are printed out as paper copies there is nothing on them to indicate their version or date which I just think is sloppy!

As the DWP have dropped the reference to full service we also now just refer to the guidance as ‘universal credit guidance’ - new url https://www.rightsnet.org.uk/universal-credit-guidance
