Hello all,

Is anybody aware of any easy read guides to UC that have already been put together? Asking on behalf of a colleague who supports people with learning disabilities…

https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/529342/universal-credit-easy-read.pdf for which you will need a sense of humour when you reach page 9. “This new computer system does everything we need…”.

There’s also this https://www.disabilityrightsuk.org/universal-credit-easy-read-guide.

Gaping gap in the market. Mind you could say that about competent IT and decision making processes.

Are the people who supposedly wrote to the government to demand a change in the benefits system the same ones who sent Thank You cards after being sanctioned?
