Hello

Wondering what people’s experience is of Universal Credit covering service charges, particularly in Full Service areas? Any issues with what they are deeming eligible?

Thanks

My experience is that the DWP ask the (social sector) landlord to indicate (a) how much the core rent is (b) what eligible service charges are paid and (c) what ineligible service charges are paid. The DWP then follow that. That appears to be the extent of the enquiry.

Only full service since November but no issues with the DWP paying services charges, it is our responsibility to make sure that ineligible charges are not included when we return the SRS form.
