Awards of the SDP

Hi all

Does anyone know whether there’s a new process for awarding the SDP without an IS10? Twice recently I’ve seen the SDP swing into payment the minute PIP’s awarded

Excellent if true and about time. Maybe all those complaints about IS10s going missing actually kicked them into sorting it - finally.

I was told by a telephony team worker yesterday that IS10s are no longer issued and it is done on the phone. Have also seen a couple awarded seemingly automatically in last few days

and… where there’s an IRESA award in place and, say, a change of address should have triggered the SDP earlier they’ve backdated the award far further than I would previously have expected.

I hesitate to say it and only do so quietly but…

Maybe they’ve finally seen sense

Have had two examples of this - both from the same client because unfortunately although ESA telephony did go through all the questions to establish SDP, they forgot to press the “Enter” button or whatever is required to get the ball moving. Managed to get it all done again on the phone. This time it worked.

I’ve just done one over the phone for one of ours under appointeeship.

That’s three months of work and probably an hour of Vivaldi I’ve just saved myself; I feel quite giddy!
