Hello,

I just wondered if there are any rules/regs on whether appeal time limits need to be on mandatory recon notices?
Have had a look around but don’t seem to be able to find anything…might be because there isn’t anything but I thought I’d ask on here.

Thanks in advance!

There’s no statutory requirement that the appeal deadline need be on the notice.

Have found the reference now

Reg 51 of The Universal Credit, Personal Independence Payment, Jobseeker’s Allowance and Employment and Support Allowance (Decisions and Appeals) Regulations 2013

Appears award notices have to have time limits for recons but not recon notices for appeals (Reg 7)!
