j.s.a sanction.
I have a cl who received a 24 week sanction after he admitted stealing from employer and was subsequently convicted of this at magistrates court.
I do not feel i can appeal the actual sanction but are there any arguments to put to the jcp to try to get them to reduce the length of this, ie : causing severe hardship on cl and family and that the cl. is actually likely to reoffend if his j.s.a continues to be reduced.
Any thoughts on this would be appreciated and thank you.
Thank you for your replies and i will advise cl accordingly and see what they want to do ...
In my experience JCP would usually consider that stealing from your employer is just about the worst sort of misconduct there is and go for the 26 week sanction, and most tribunals would not interfere.
