You’d think wouldn’t you, that considering the high profile nature of this case, the DWP spokesthingy would make some sort of reference to the forthcoming changes to the eligibility criteria for blind people, if for no other reason than to keep the press of their backs.  Or is that too obvious?

He will have a pretyy good income though, even without council tax benefit and housing costs (And I don’t know if he’s got any children) his benefit entitlement is like this:

that’s not the point, though, steve and in this day and age is that a pretty good income?  in any event, you missed out of account his likely ill health retirement pension and lump sum, which would change your calculations.
