My Money Steps is a free, independent and confidential online debt advice and money management service from National Debtline. It provides personalised, positive steps to help people get back in control of their finances. It can be used by anyone living in England, Wales or Scotland.

Users answer a series of simple questions about their finances, and My Money Steps gives them a personalised action plan setting out practical steps to help get on top of debt problems and manage finances in the future.

They say that people can benefit from using My Money Steps if they are:

* Struggling to make your credit card payments;
* Considering debt management;
* Considering debt consolidation;
* Dealing with a loss of income or a change of circumstances; and/or
* Seeking help to manage money and finances.

My Money Steps is not a fee-charging debt management company, like you might see advertising on TV or sending text messages out of the blue. Instead, they are run by a charity and offer free, impartial debt help with no profit agenda attached.

My Money Steps has been developed by debt advice specialists at National Debtline and Business Debtline, ensuring that the advice received is accurate and trustworthy.
