Has anyone had the experience where claimants completing an ESA50 because they are moving from Incapacity Benefit to ESA have had their ESA claim ended without a medical and have also received a letter ending their DLA?  We have had two cases of this in teh last week.  Ruth

With a medical yes - but without a medical seems very odd. Were they asked to attend a medical and failed to turn up?

I have had DLA claims refused and they have used an ESA50 as evidence, but ive never had ESA refused without a WCA.

Thanks for the replies. I have not seen the letters these clients received as they both contacted us by phone. - in both cases it is just possible that they did not read or understand a letter about an appointment for a medical, but not that likely.  Anyway i will now wait until I have seen something in writing.
