DWP Calls to clients re UC Migration

Hi all,

We have been made aware by 2 clients this week that they have been contacted by DWP to discuss migrating to UC. One was my client and one was from a different organisation. My client said he was told that there was no pressure to migrate, but that everybody would be migrating at some point, and they were giving him the chance to move now. They offered to support him with the claim. He said that they did not tell him to seek advice, or offer any indication of whether he would be financially better off on UC. He advised them that he was going to seek advice, and they said that was fine, and to call them back if he wanted help. However, they left no name and no contact number for him to get back in touch.

There are parts of this which sound suspicious, and we just wanted to check and see if anybody is aware of a DWP campaign to call clients? It may be a coincidence but both clients are appointees for other claimants.

Has anybody else come across this?

Many thanks
