Severe Disablement Allowance
My client is in her 70s and has been in receipt of Severe Disablement Allowance for many years. She was advised by the DWP to remain on SDA and not claim her RP. Her husband receives state pension and they have both recently qualified for AA. Underlying entitlement to Carer’s Allowance would bring them into qualifying for Pension Credit.
Is there any risk to her SDA if we do the Carer’s Allowance form for her - it would have to be the standard CA form as she is not receiving a state pension?
