Benefit Cap in supported projects

Aware of the exemption around under occupation in the draft regs and further easement around the rent and services remaining within housing benefit until a decision is made around how they should be funded, but am I right in the assumption that the only protection against the benefit cap which is due to be applied by LAs from April will be if resident is in receipt of particular benefits and not solely if they are in exempt accommodation?  I have looked at circulars and posts and can’t get any information, other that it seems to support my understanding.

Will give you all an update.  Although there has been no announcement to confirm that the benefit cap will not apply in exempt accommodation, Support Solutions advise that it expects that it will be confirmed in due course.
