Increase in Transitional SDP Element - “interesting” UC journal entry in response to query

A client whose file I was ready to close who has already had her TSDPE eroded - I had advised to put a note on the journal to request update on when benefit will be recalculated (in a drawing a line on the journal in case it is missed in the future).
The memo is clear (and they only had to read to para 2) it will apply to those who have TSDPE AND previously had TSDPE but it has been eroded.
Response to query:
any current increase in a benefit that you no longer received will not affect your Universal Credit payments.
Transitional protection payments are only payable until the amount of your Universal Credit equals the benefit that you were receiving at the time that your Universal Credit claim started
They NEVER fail to disappoint in getting things wrong.

It is worrying how often they get things wrong- messages sent via the journal go to either the work coach or more often or not to Case Managers if you select the Service Issues or Payment option etc.
Case Managers are at Civil Service AO Level ( I believe some of the team leaders are EO level) and their knowledge of policy is often extremely limited- particularly policy changes- it is not really their fault but due to lack of training etc.
I was recently told by a Case Manager that I could not request a MR on the incorrect implementation of Benefit Cap as it was ” the law”
