Automatic processing of benefits claims using AI

Alex Homer, researcher at the BBC, is looking into the use of AI in making benefit decisions and is keen to speak to advisers who have views/knowledge on the subject. He says -

I’d like to speak to welfare rights advisors and other professionals with some experience of dealing with the automated processing of benefits claims.

I’d like to hear which types of claims were involved, how often this has come up and when it began and what was the experience felt by the person who had applied for those benefits or about whom the decision was made.
