copy of it on cpag website

Thanks for that but the article says that they are the gateway conditions for the expansion areas only and that the conditions are different for existing UC areas.  We are an existing UC area.  Anyone know the current conditions for us?

The gateway conditions in Sefton ( relevant districts 9 and 14 ) are basically the same as described in the article except that couples and people with children(*) are not excluded from claiming.

Schedule 5 to the No 9 order (the gateway conditions) was amended to allow partners by http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2014/1923/made  and claimants with children became possible in these areas via http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2015/32/made  (* but see art 4(5)(b) excluding claimants with a disabled child).

Couples and claimants with children can claim across all the pre-2015 ‘existing’ UC areas - ie most of NW England plus the 2013 ‘pathfinder’ areas.

In the Feb 2015-April 2016 (non-digital) ‘expansion’ areas the gateway conditions are modified - the requirement to be single is reinstated and the amendment allowing claimants with children is treated as not having been made.

Isn’t that where there was a last-ditch battle between the Celtic tribes & the Romans? I think I can see a theme developing…
