Hi,
Please Help!

Lone parent of 2 children living in a 2 bed home. Clmnt is a FT student and on Full HB/CTB.

However, as of 15.03.10 claimant has an “au-pair” from Zimbabwe move in to help with the children whilst the claimant is studying.

The claimant sleeps on the sofa whilst the “au pair” has her own room. There is no money exchange.

The claimant provides the room and the “au pair” looks after the children.

BUT, the “au pair” also works F/T for several care agencies.

Will the “au pair” be looked upon as a Non Dep?

The “au pair” however refuses to provide any documentation.  I suppose the claimant will be liable for the highest non-dep deduction.

Any comments greatfully recieved.
