From DWP via stakeholder forum -

Colleagues in The Debt Management Research Team are looking to conduct research with frontline debt advisers about their experience supporting customers with DWP debt. They would like to speak to those who work for debt advice charities as well as those who work for other charities and organisations which have debt advice within their wider remit. The research would take the form of a 30–45-minute research interview via MS Teams with two DWP social researchers, one interviewer and one note taker.

The purpose of this research is to build upon DWP’s existing knowledge base through learning from debt advisors experience in supporting customers with DWP debt. This work will inform the DWP debt management process, particularly in relation to communication with debtors, third parties, and how we can effectively respond to debtors’ individual needs to encourage sustainable and affordable repayment.

We are looking to conduct the interviews between May 13th and May 31st. If you are interested in taking part in this research, please can you email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) to arrange interviews and find out more information about the project.
