So the DWPs new Impact Asessment states the intention of PIP is:

to create a new, more active and enabling benefit that focuses support on those disabled people who face the greatest barriers to leading full, active and independent lives;

to assess more accurately, objectively and transparently those people who would benefit most from additional support.

So how much of the £710m implementation cost was paid to management consultants to think up this meaningless (insert you favoured explitive here)?

And, of course, it will be fair.

“Fair” has a special meaning for this government: it means “fairer for all those people who currently neither get nor need it so they won’t feel so deprived, poor things”.

Humpty Dumpty would have understood at once, having defined “glory” to mean “a knock-down argument”.
