Hi,
I’ve been asked by Heidi Bancroft of the Administrative Justice Council to post the following -

Academics from UCL, LSE and Kent University are conducting some research into Delivering Administrative Justice after the pandemic (funded by Nuffield) –
https://www.nuffieldfoundation.org/project/delivering-administrative-justice-after-the-pandemic

The research looks at access to justice after the pandemic; lessons that can be learned about digitalization and pathways to justice, and how trust in justice (the belief that justice system is fair, effective and open to all) can be maintained. This study looks at pathways to justice for (1) housing (Property Chamber, Housing Ombudsman) and
(2) special educational needs and disabilities (Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) tribunal, Local Government and Social Care (LGSCO) Ombudsman).

For the area of housing, the research team has created surveys (one for the Ombudsman user and one for the property chamber user) to get a better understanding of how people access housing pathways to redress.  In SEND, surveys have been created for users of the Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman and the SEND tribunal.

We would also like to interview both users and advisors on their experiences of using these services during the pandemic.  Users will be given a £15 voucher in return for their time in participating in an interview.

Please can you take a bit of time to fill out this anonymous survey -

to help us understand your experience of advising clients through the pandemic. Your participation is valuable as it will help us to grasp how justice is delivered.

We are also keen to interview advice providers in SEND and housing.
Please contact .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) if you are interested in taking part in an interview.  Your contribution will be invaluable to our research.
