‘As you are caring you won’t be referred for a work capability at this time as we do not pay limited capability for work and work related activities element and carers element at the same time’. From a screenshot from a journal posted on CITA’s Friend face by Sheffield CA.

Which got me wondering about case manager roles - Insight in to case managers roles and job spec’s with a Sheffield bespoke service slant - ‘Making simple decisions, as deemed appropriate, regarding benefit

I would say that is a absolute travesty, as if the person was to be deemed LCWRA would attract the higher work capability amount, higher than the carer element so is potentially being penalised.

Could it be possible that poorly trained, poorly supported and demotivated employees are answering vulnerable people’s questions in UCJ?

What is even more upsetting is that only SOME of these vulnerable people are getting help with such nonsense from advisers.
