MIF lifted from the beginning of the relevant period

Hello All,

Would appreciate help with the below, please:

UC claimant awarded LCWRA is exempt from MIF (s.19 of WRA).

I would assume the MIF should be lifted from the beginning of the relevant period, not when the LCWRA element is actually in payment 3 months later?

Thank you in advance!

Hi Emilia, your assumption is correct. The award of LCWRA transfers the claimant to the ” No Work Requirements ” UC conditionality group. In that group there cannot be a MIF. Payment of the LCWRA element is not relevant for that determination.

Thank you so much for that!
