Greenwich Welfare Rights are running an ESA Safeguarding seminar on Wednesday, 7th December 2016 between 2pm and 4pm -

SEMINAR: ESA Safeguarding Guidance - Safeguards are part of Employment and Support Allowance guidance, and can be utilised by welfare rights advisers and other support services who assist benefit claimants with mental health conditions, learning disabilities, or a cognitive or communication impairment.

Who this seminar is for:

This workshop is for advisers who assist ESA claimants with benefit problems, particularly clients with a mental health condition or learning disability, or a cognitive or communication impairment.

This seminar is intended for advisers who have already have a reasonable knowledge of the benefits system.

What this seminar covers:

- An introduction of what is within current safeguarding guidance;
- How referring to safeguarding guidance can be a valuable tool for advisors to consider when trying to resolve benefit issues, and
- An overview of the policy work undertaken by Greenwich Welfare Rights so far, and discuss where policy work in this area can be developed further.
