Hi ...

Although we’re still waiting for the CB, GA and tax credit uprating regs, we’ve gone ahead and updated our benefit rates page, which now includes this years’ and next years’ rates ...

Enjoy: https://www.rightsnet.org.uk/resources/benefit-tax-credit-rates (... and let us know if you spot any gremlins. ...)

Cheers - Shawn

Thanks Shawn

Is it worth showing Work Allowances in the UC section?

I am surprised they are increasing the WTC threshold.

One thing that strikes me is that because the increases are done on a percentage basis the gap between what people on the old state pension get and what people on the new state pension is going to get wider every year. Obviously for those that qualify Pension Credit can make this up but for many (most?) this will not apply.

Not according to the information tabled in November http://data.parliament.uk/DepositedPapers/Files/DEP2019-1077/Proposed_benefit_and_pension_rates_28_Nov_2019.pdf

Is it possible to add the Administrative Earnings Threshold to the UC section?

Hi Ian

We tend to keep the page for rates for entitlement - the administrative earnings threshold is about whether conditionality is applied. So we’ve drawn the line with that outside - it has to be somewhere! Hope that’s OK

Of course it’s OK (even more, it makes perfect sense!).
