Does anyone have a list of the abbreviations used in the DWP case record screen prints.

I’m particularly interested in what ‘actioned from ICT’ might mean and what an NHB1A is but a general glossary would be a good thing to have in any case.

Thanks

NHB1A is the change of address form if I recall correctly Pete.

Don’t know about a NHB1A but wasn’t the NHB1 the notification that the DWP sent across to LA’s informing them that a claim for HB had been made?

The abbreviation list you get with the DPA report is linked here:

Despite wading through dozens of abbreviations I still can’t find what “actioned from ICT” means in plain English.

It seems to be relevant to a change of address as the next entry says that the NHB1A (which is, as Paul said, a change of address form) was “no longer reqd”. This entry was dated about two months later so it looks like it might have been a follow up of a form that had been issued but not recieved back again. There is nothing that I can see to say when, where or even IF the form was given to the claimant.

Any thoughts gratefully recieved, if I can’t work it out I will have to ask HMC&TS; for a direction but I don’t want to delay the case any further if I can avoid it.

I must say that looking through the abbreviations shows more than one dubious acronym and I can’t help but wonder if the people making these up got bored and just started to mess about. Might be a good thread for a Friday…......

Pete.

In light of your description, might “ICT” be InComing Telephone call i.e. the client called them to advise of a change of address?

It seems the NHB1A is sent by the DWP to the LA when a change of address is notified to it. At least I think that’s what it means.
