Super speedy claims processing
Wed 09-Jul-08 03:10 PM

All you cynics out there should hang your heads in shame. JCP is experiencing it's "best ever performance on claims clearance..."

Well that's according to a response from the Chief Exec's office to my complaint about delays. Hmmmm.

It's all a matter of perspective - if their performance is it's best ever, then what was their worst performance like, and when was it ?

Up to six weeks for CCG's, three to four weeks for Incap Ben etc etc...I seem to remember that claims were processed quicker before JCP and CMS were introduced .............

Does one get the impression that all is not well in the heart of this hallowed Realm, this green and pleasant land - Can I sense a ground- swell of dissent ................-

I refuse to hear a word against the hallowed authorities in this here Albion. The way they administer the Poor Laws is a paragon of justice and humanity that the entire world should get down on its knees and venerate.

The conditions of the workhouses are second to none. The inmates are surrounded by warmth, respect and unconditional love the likes of which the world has never seen. The compassion and dedication of the staff is a joy to behold. Work makes free!

Never have the poor and huddled masses had so much to be grateful for. They should praise to the heavens the efforts of their betters to drag them up from their feckless and idle ways and to steer them onto the road of righteousness, sobriety and respectability.

I think it was Gladstone who put it so memorably when he said “the poor are always with us, now baby hit me one more time”. Or was it Britney Spears?

Alma Cogan is 124.
