Scottish self-isolation support grant reduced from £500 to £225 from 1 May 2022

Updated Scottish Government guidance confirms that value of grant has been changed to reflect revised public health guidance

The Scottish Government has confirmed that its self-isolation support grant has been reduced from £500 to £225 from 1 May 2022.

In revised Covid-19-related statutory guidance on the Scottish Welfare Fund and self-isolation support grants, the Scottish Government says that -

'From 1 May, eligibility for the self-isolation support grant will change in line with updated self-isolation and testing requirements. The grant amount will be £225 from 1 May, reflecting the revised public health guidance which advises people who test positive to stay at home for five days, instead of the 10 day isolation period that was previously in place. Eligibility for the grant will be reviewed on 30 June 2022.'
