Government issues further ‘Treasury Direction’ in relation to the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme

Made under provisions in the Coronavirus Act 2020, new Direction reflects changes announced by the Chancellor on 12 May 2020

The government has issued a further 'Treasury Direction' in relation to the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme.

Made under section 71 and section 76 of the Coronavirus Act 2020, the new Direction -

' ... reflect[s] the extension to the Scheme to 31 October, and the changes to the terms of the scheme from 1 July onwards, announced by the Chancellor on 12 May.'
