Further extension of period over which Covid-19-related easements to benefit rules in Northern Ireland remain in force

New statutory rule

New regulations have been issued in Northern Ireland that extend the expiry dates for Covid-19-related easements in relation to employment and support allowance, jobseeker's allowance, carer's allowance, and means-tested benefit entitlement for prisoners on temporary release.

In force from 12 May 2021, the Social Security (Coronavirus) (Miscellaneous Amendments) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2021 (SR.No.105/2021) make corresponding provision in Northern Ireland to that in Great Britain provided for by SI.No.476/2021 that was issued on 20 April 2021.
