Working independently in a small and busy team you will deliver benefits advice and information and maintain your own caseload of appeal cases, regularly representing at first tier tribunals.
You will have a detailed knowledge of social security benefits and be able to work under pressure, juggling demands and priorities. You will enjoy working directly with customers and helping vulnerable customers exercise their legal rights and entitlements.
This post will contribute directly to the Anti-Poverty work of Bolton Council and will face additional challenges when Universal Credit becomes fully operational later this year. The team has a good track record at Tribunal and we hope that you can join us in continuing to deliver successful outcomes.
