Deadline: 5 July, 2022
Welfare Rights Adviser - Foodbank income maximisation service
Band C - £36,105 - £39,905
Flexible and hybrid working available
Two-year, fixed-term post
CPAG has been funded by Trussell Trust to deliver a two-year project which will ensure that foodbank users in poverty receive their full entitlement to social security benefits through high quality and expert advice.
The project will deliver a dedicated ‘second-tier’ advice service to professionals and volunteers who support Trussell foodbanks with their social security benefits, as well as resources in print and online to resolve the particular issues with the benefits system which foodbank users face. A comprehensive programme of training, seminars and workshops will compliment second-tier advice and resources.
This is an exciting opportunity for an energetic and experienced adviser to join CPAG’s expert advice and rights team at a critical time for both foodbanks and the anti-poverty sector.
The role will entail working from our London offices and travel to other locations on a regular basis. We will consider a predominantly office-based, home-based, or a ‘hybrid’ working arrangement for the successful candidate. We are open to job-share if this can be accommodated between two candidates and other flexible working arrangements. We would also consider applicants seeking a secondment from their current employer.
This is a full-time two-year post which will commence at the start of September 2022.
