Self-employment opportunity: Fixed payments for each stage of claim process, based on £50 hourly rate.

Architects Benevolent Society (ABS) is a national occupational charity, supporting architectural professionals and their families in times of need. We are looking to engage a pool of Welfare Benefits Advisors, working on a self-employed basis, to provide an end to end service for beneficiaries of the charity who are applying for Personal Independence Payment (PIP) or Attendance Allowance (AA).

Support to be provided will include working with individuals to complete robust PIP or AA applications and prepare for a PIP assessment, managing and advising on the outcome and progressing a mandatory reconsideration or appeal where necessary. Your attendance at assessments and tribunals would also be expected where possible.

Referrals will be made by Welfare Officers at ABS on a case by case basis.

During COVID-19 restrictions, this work will be carried out via telephone or online. When restrictions allow, this role will include face to face contact when necessary and feasible, therefore some travel may be required.
