Citizens Advice Hull & East Riding (CAH&ER) is a busy, progressive and dynamic service serving a city and a large rural county. CAH&ER work together to make a positive difference in the lives of our clients.

Based within Citizens Advice, Hull & East Riding’s “Connect Well Hull” Social Prescribing and Welfare Advice Service, the post holder will deliver generalist advice services within GP practices and community locations in the City. The service provides advice relating to all aspects of Social Welfare Law at a generalist level to a diverse client base, and Social Prescribing support, with discrete teams offering each element. Both teams work closely with the full range of services across Citizens Advice, and partner agencies and community support groups across Hull.

The post holder should have knowledge of the current law and policy in relation to welfare rights and money advice and at least 1 year’s experience of providing legal advice on a wide range of issues to members of the public.

Ideally, you will hold the Generalist Certificate in Advice Work (or equivalent).

You will have the ability to work both independently with minimum supervision, and as part of a team, and to be confident using a wide range of IT systems.
