Senior Welfare Rights Adviser

Camden Welfare Rights Team are seeking Senior Welfare Rights Advisers to help our customers living in Camden’s homes to have secure, safe and affordable housing that meets their ongoing needs and provide help and assistance when they need it. This role provides both a second tier welfare rights support service to colleagues working in the locality teams and across the council, as well as providing a trusted Welfare Rights Advice Service to our residents.

The successful candidate will have a background in Welfare Rights Advice and be able to provide support to colleagues across the council, assist in developing and delivering training, seminars and talks on the full range of benefits and related areas. You will also have experience providing an advice casework service to a wide range of people including vulnerable adults, identifying entitlement to benefits, completing forms and advocating on behalf of vulnerable people. You will need to demonstrate that you have the ability to meet the key requirements of the role as set out in the job profile under Knowledge, Skills and Experience.

The post is subject to enhanced DBS.
