iCan Worker

Age UK Lewisham & Southwark are recruiting for an iCan worker. This is an exciting new post working within our existing Information and Advice Service, providing person centred information, advice and support for older people experiencing a significant life event. This will be through drop ins, appointments at our office and home visits. The post sits within the Independent Living Services which is a supportive team delivering a range of services to enable older people to live safe and independent lives.

The successful candidate will be confident delivering accurate information and generalist advice including welfare benefits, housing, consumer and community care and will be able to quickly learn about the full range of local services and help available to older people in Southwark.

We are looking for enthusiastic, collaborative and flexible individuals with at least one year’s experience (voluntary or paid) of delivering advice, with excellent literacy, communication and numeracy skills.
