Freelance trainers/lecturers in areas of social welfare law wanted
Pro Bono Community (PBC) is a registered charity which provides specialised training aimed at equipping lawyers, trainees and law students with the skills and expertise to become effective volunteers in Law Centres and advice agencies.
We are seeking to add to our existing network of talented and experienced freelance trainers/lecturers with expertise in one or more areas of social welfare law including welfare benefits, housing, employment, debt, family, immigration and consumer law. Ideally, trainers will have practical experience of working in Law Centres and advice agencies as well as extensive training/lecturing experience. PBC’s training is dynamic and interactive so we are looking to work with trainers who can engage with different types of attendees and make complex subjects accessible. Applicants will of course need to be comfortable with both classroom and online delivery.
All our training is bespoke and tailored to the needs of individual clients. Fees are negotiable and based on the number of sessions in a programme which typically will involve a series of 90-120-minute lectures delivered weekly or over the course of one or more days. In some instances, PBC may require new training materials to be drafted for which a separate fee will be negotiated.
We are interested in making contact with trainers from across the UK, but in terms of in-person training the most likely requirement in the short term outside London is in Leeds & Bradford.
If you are interested in joining PBC’s roster of freelance trainers, please send expressions of interest with details of experience and freelance rates to Bill Skirrow via email@example.com. Please advise us if you have video samples of training available and, if not, whether there will be an opportunity to observe you delivering training as we normally only work with trainers we have been able to observe.
