Are you looking for a new job with a dynamic local charity? Then look no further!
Coventry Independent Advice Service offers community advice services across Coventry. Originally established to consolidate independent advice provision in the city, we are now looking to recruit another self-motivated Caseworker to help us achieve our strategic objectives.
As part of a small and dedicated team, you will play an important role in providing an effective and efficient advice service with a focus on welfare benefits and debt/money advice. You will work within the aims, policies and principles of our service and towards Advice Quality Standard (AQS) requirements.
The successful candidate will deliver an advice and casework service, mainly at outreach locations across Coventry (which include Family Hubs, libraries and community centres) and also by telephone, email and online.
You will have significant recent experience of delivering social welfare advice, ideally in an organisation where a commitment to quality standards is paramount. You will have a broad knowledge of key advice areas, particularly welfare benefits and debt, and the ability to communicate effectively with people from a range of cultures and backgrounds. You will have a keen interest in delivering services for communities, be client-focused and demonstrate a positive and flexible approach.
Coventry Independent Advice Service strives to be an equal opportunities employer and encourages applications from all candidates who meet the person specification regardless of age, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or race.
