Homes for Ukraine guidance issued to local authorities across England, Scotland and Wales

Publication of guidance follows launch of scheme on 14 March 2022 to support those fleeing the war in Ukraine

New guidance has been issued in relation to the Homes for Ukraine scheme to local authorities across England, Scotland and Wales.

The Homes for Ukraine scheme was launched on 14 March 2022 and is open to Ukrainian nationals who were resident in Ukraine prior to 1 January 2022, and to their immediate family members, to be sponsored to come to the UK. Those fleeing the war in Ukraine who are supported under the scheme are able to live and work in the UK for up to three years and access benefits, healthcare, employment, and other support.
