Government legislates to renew the provisions in the Public Health (Coronavirus) (Protection from Eviction) (England) Regulations 2021

New statutory instrument provides for extension of 'eviction ban' to 31 March 2021

New regulations have been issued that extend the 'eviction ban' in England, that was introduced in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, to 31 March 2021.

In force from 22 February 2021, the Public Health (Coronavirus) (Protection from Eviction) (England) (No. 2) Regulations 2021 (SI.No.164/2021) renew the provisions in SI.No.15/2021 that prevent, except in specified circumstances, attendance at a dwelling-house for the purpose of executing a writ or warrant of possession or delivering a notice of eviction.

The new regulations expire at the end of 31 March 2021.
