Eligibility for housing and homelessness assistance in Wales for people who leave Ukraine as a result of the Russian invasion

New statutory instrument

New regulations have been issued in Wales in relation to eligibility for housing and homelessness assistance for people who have left Ukraine as a result of the Russian invasion.

In force from 28 April 2022, the Allocation of Housing and Homelessness (Eligibility) (Wales) (Amendment) Regulations 2022 (SI.No.485/2022) make amendments to the Allocation of Housing and Homelessness (Eligibility) (Wales) Regulations 2014 (SI.No.2603/2014) (the 2014 Regulations)) so that local authorities in Wales can treat as eligible for housing and homelessness assistance people who -

NB - the regulations make amendments to homelessness provision in Wales equivalent to those made in England by the Allocation of Housing and Homelessness (Eligibility) (England) and Persons subject to Immigration Control (Housing Authority Accommodation and Homelessness) (Amendment) Regulations 2022 (SI.No.339/2022).
