This will be my 4th or 5th attempt at a reply to this.

Things have moved on in any case.

I decided after an hour or so that a complaint would be appropriate as no-one, let alone a DM can be effective with closed ears and a big gob. Shouting at me - or at the very least being overly assertive - was never going to resolve anything. If I was a claimant rather than representative then the conduct is not befitting of a member of the Civil Service.
