The final agenda for the next NAWRA meeting, in Manchester on 3rd December 2010, is now available at http://www.nawra.org.uk/schedule.htm

In the context of cuts to welfare and cuts to advice services, this promises to be a particularly lively and informative meeting.

Among the many highlights of the day are guest speaker Professor Steve McKay from University of Birmingham who will offer an overview and analysis of the reforms announced for the DWP, HMRC and other welfare provision.  We also have Steve Hynes, Director of Legal Action Group, who will consider the review of legal aid, responses and alternatives for the organisation of publicly funded legal and advice services.

We also have workshop sessions on:

- ESA and Mental Health
- Ringing in all the Pension Changes
- Key Elements of Good Training
- Prison, Hospital and Benefits

If you, or your organisation, are a NAWRA member, meetings are free to attend.  if you are not a member, please consider joining NAWRA.  Details can be found at http://www.nawra.org.uk or you can join us on the day.

Just a quick note to remind you that NAWRA is still on this Friday, in spite of the sprinkling of snow in some areas!  It takes more than a blizzard to stop us!!
