UC requiring cls with LCW/RA in ESA to still complete a UC50 on MM

Morning all,

I work in a small office but have noticed that a couple of cls who have been migrated from irESA (support group) into UC are being issued with a UC50, even though UC has accepted (on the face of it) their LCW/RA status.

I’m aware that UC can still request that a UC50 is completed in these circumstances, but am just wondering whether this is happening on a wider scale - it’s confusing for the cl and more work for DWP (and how far into the WCA process does UC intend that this group goes, eg will they be required to have a medical assessment?)

Would be interested to hear from other advisers if this is a “thing”?
