Submit your appeal service wrongly directs HB appellants to file appeals directly with HMCTS?

I note that from this webpage: https://www.appeal-benefit-decision.service.gov.uk/benefit-type if a person chooses “Housing Benefit (HB)” then the next screen they are shown informs them to complete an SSCS1.

The SSCS1 form in turn directs the potential Appellant that it must be sent to HMCTS when completed.

That is incorrect. Housing Benefit appeals need to be sent to the Local Authority which made the housing benefit decision appealed (see rule 23(1) and (2) of the Tribunal Procedure (First-tier Tribunal) (Social Entitlement Chamber) Rules 2008).

I’ve emailed to ask that be fixed but putting it on here as well just in case.
