Computer says goodbye

I saw a UC claim that had been closed today as zero payment entitlement for 6 months. Claimant had been awarded LCWRA which should have taken him into payment. But it hadn’t been updated on to the system so ‘the computer just closed it down as it thinks no payment for 6 months means the claim ends’, according to the helpful bloke on the phone line. This must be affecting people who need LCWRA to get an award where a WCA hasn’t been done in 6 months too.

My bloke had just accepted that he wasn’t going to get any UC and took some encouragement to challenge it. I imagine plenty of others just let it go.
