Martin from CPAG has represented two claimants who had been refused access to 30 hours of free childcare as they were regarded as not having sufficient earnings to qualify due to being term-time only - Upper Tribunal suggests low paid term-time only workers paid a monthly salary are eligible for 30 hours free childcare scheme -

I presume this would also work for small limited company directors, who are on annual salaries.

Until now I have always advised such people to pay themselves monthly for this precise reason.
