Pension Credit Escalation number

Does anyone have an escalation number for Pension Credit? I am chasing an award of the SDP for a terminally ill patient that has been going on for 3 months! There is only an escalation number for PC MRs and appeals in the V19 DWP Escalation Points and when I phoned this number they said they’re unable to help and to keep trying the generic helpline numbers. The patients MP is usually hopeless so I feel I’ve run out of options. Any help gratefully received.

There isn’t one I’m afraid, much to my ongoing annoyance.

Could you submit an MR asking for a review of the entitlement decision and then call the MR number after a few days?

Thanks Paul. That’s an idea! I don’t have any of the patient’s PC paperwork so can I submit an MR against the current award without a date of the last decision? Do you think PC would accept sn MR request over the phone from me?

Certainly in theory if you’re authorised to act on behalf of your client you can phone in an MR.
