UC and prison, LCWRA, deductions

We have a client who is in custody very regularly, either on remand or serving a short sentence.

He gets UC housing costs which continue each time as there has never been an expectation he will be in prison more than 6 months.

I’m struggling to find out 1) what happens to any deductions - do they continue and just reduce the housing costs element as that is the only UC in payment while he is in custody and 2) if he is awarded the LCWRA element is that reinstated along with the standard element when he is released?

I’ve gone through the regs and the guidance but I must be missing something.
