We have received quite a number of clients calling up for help with a form which appears to be the PIP1 form based on the questions they are being asked.  Has there been a change by DWP where they no longer take this information over the phone?

My experience of this situation is that you only get sent the PIP1 form if the claimant has written to the DWP as opposed to ringing them up

I’ve had a few clients sent a PIP 1 form over the years - never found why.
It could be something as simple as the system not working at the time that they called.
It’s my understanding that you can request one by phoning the new claim line if the client can’t take part in the call themselves.
